A member can expect to get a curated herbal mix from the following list, depending on what is available and in season:

Bee Balm, Burdock, Calendula, Chamomile, Chickweed, Comfrey, Dandelion, Elderflower, Elderberries, Eucalyptus, Goldenrod, Lemon Balm, Lavender, Marshmallow, Mint, Mugwort, Mulberries, Oregano, Plantain, Purslane, Rosemary, Red Raspberry Leaf, Rose, St. John’s Wort, Thyme, Wild Violet.

These herbs will be either fresh or freshly dried. And in some cases, a box may contain a Mi Casita Herbal product (All products are listed on the “Shop” page). The idea is for each member to build their home apothecary and add herbal allies/remedies to their home pantry.

Each box will also contain: one zine with easy recipes specific to what herbs are in the box that week and a detailed Herb of the Week monograph to gain a deeper understanding of the herbs as they grow

There will be 2 in- person, hands on workshops where we will learn about how to dry, store, process and how to use these herbs. These will also be an opportunity to gather with the group to make medicine together, in community.

This is an amazing opportunity for people who want to work with fresh, local herbs. It is a hands on, interactive and educational CSA where we will learn how to grow our own medicine. It is an introduction to family herbalism, to learn how to take care of our loved ones, to get our hands moving, and to create communities that aim to live in reciprocity with the earth and with each other.

Workshare opportunity:

Our Workshare Program is an opportunity to live seasonally and to dive deeper into the world of herbs and receive a CSA Share in return. Running from July - October, this 4-hour weekly commitment gives members of the community a chance to work and learn alongside Jenny, the herbalist, to participate in the daily tasks that are required to harvest and process the herbs, and to get some movement and time outside (rain or shine!). Locations: Village Farmstead (Oak Creek, WI) and Mi Casita Herbs (St. Francis, WI)

Available slots:

Tuesdays: 8am-12pm

Thursdays: 8am-12pm

Mother nature provides us with what we need, when we need it. We just need to be ready and open to receiving.
